Help with your music library, long mixes and the Hi-Fi console.
Make your first mix
- Import a folder containing your own MP3, M4A, WAV or FLAC files.
- Select the tracks you want and arrange their order in the library.
- Choose one file, regular blocks or custom durations in Mix settings.
- Set the crossfade and normalization, then choose the output format and folder.
- Export the mix. Listen to the result from Mix blocks or History.
A file or folder is unavailable
Check that the drive is connected and the files are still present. Use Reconnect folders from the app menu to authorize the original folder or its new location. A saved library does not contain copies of the source audio.
Choose the folder containing the expected tracks. Moving files between drives may require authorizing the new location.
Move through a track or an exported block
Drag the seek control in the bottom player to a new position. You can also drag either reel forward or backward. Both reels follow the same transport.
Use the master volume dial to adjust the player, and check the output device and volume in macOS if you cannot hear playback. The player volume does not set the exported audio level; use normalization in Mix settings for that.
Choose exact blocks or complete tracks
For an exact duration, choose the boundary option that cuts at the requested time. Audio can continue in the next block. To keep complete tracks, choose the option that lets the last track finish; block lengths can then differ from your target.
Crossfades overlap adjacent tracks, so the exported session can be shorter than the sum of their original durations.
Set transitions and output levels
Set the fade length and choose one of the four fade curves. Enable normalization if you want to adjust output levels, then choose peak level or integrated loudness and set its target.
Listen to an exported block before using the complete session. Peak and loudness normalization measure different aspects of the sound.
Edit tags and keep your originals
Select one track or a group and open the tag editor. Saving tags changes the audio files. Maxymix keeps original copies in .maxymix-backups beside the tracks; keep those copies if you may need to restore the original files.
Remove selected tracks removes entries from your library and keeps the source audio on disk. Deletion from Mix blocks or History applies to recorded exports and requires confirmation.
Export formats and music sources
Maxymix imports and exports MP3, M4A, WAV and FLAC. Quality and sample-rate controls are available in Mix settings. Work with files you have permission to use. Maxymix does not import streaming-service libraries or remove copy protection.
Check the Mac App Store listing for the supported Mac and macOS requirements before purchasing.

Email us with your Maxymix version, macOS version, Mac model and the steps that led to the problem. Include the exact error text and the file format if relevant. A screenshot is useful if it does not contain private information.
Do not send payment details, passwords or your whole music library. We will request any additional information needed to investigate.
